If you are sailing, windsurfing, fishing, surfing etc. in Horseshoe Bay Beach don't forget to check the tide and wind and wave conditions
If you're arriving to Bermuda on a cruise ship then Horseshoe Bay beach is probably top of your beach itinerary. This stunning beach, with its powdery pink sand and turquoise waters, is one of the most popular and picturesque beaches on the island. Relax on the shore, soak up the sun, and enjoy various activities that cater to all ages and interests.
Due to it's popularity among cruise ship visitors who tend to descend upon the beach on mass during their first day on Bermuda, the beach can get very crowded. If you're on a cruise go early morning or late afternoon, or better still go early on the 2nd day of your island visit as most of your fellow cruisers will already have been on the 1st day.
If you're not on a cruise then visit the beach on days when there isn't a cruise ship in town, unless you like crowds that is. As a quieter alternative you may also pick a beach that's not promoted by the cruise liners such as nearby Elbow beach.
Horseshoe Bay Beach is known for its soft, powdery pink sand that creates a unique and beautiful contrast with the crystal-clear turquoise waters. The beach is also surrounded by dramatic rock formations which provide an interesting backdrop for photographs and offer excellent opportunities for snorkeling and diving. Coral reefs teeming with marine life can be found just offshore, making it an ideal spot for those looking to explore underwater.
