If you're looking for an incredibly scenic seven mile sandy beach, Manzanita Beach on the Oregon Coast in the U.S. is for you. While Manzanita Beach isn't a destination for sunbathing or swimming, you'll find lots to do in this area. Manzanita Beach is well known for surfing, kiteboarding, SUP, kayaking, fishing and many other ocean water sports. Manzanita Beach is best visited during June, July, August and September which is the driest time with long sunny days, be aware though that the sea temperatures will still be a little too cold for swimming with only the bravest having more than a quick dip. Surfers will definitely still want to wear a wet suit even during the warmest months.
Manzanita Beach is a beautiful and serene beach located in Manzanita, a small coastal town in Tillamook County, Oregon. The beach is famous for its picturesque views of the Pacific Ocean and Neahkahnie Mountain, making it a perfect destination for relaxation and beach activities.
Manzanita Beach features mostly fine yellow sand with some patches of coarse sand as well. Although it's not a powdery white sand beach like those in the tropics, it still provides a comfortable surface for walking barefoot or laying down on a towel. The shoreline has some pebbles and rocks scattered here and there but it's not predominantly rocky.
Snorkeling and diving opportunities at Manzanita Beach are limited due to the lack of rocks or reefs directly offshore; however, the nearby Oswald West State Park offers more interesting snorkeling experiences with its rocky coastline.
