If you are sailing, windsurfing, fishing, surfing etc. in Nacpan Beach don't forget to check the tide and wind and wave conditions
Nacpan beach is a great choice for those in El Nido town whom have already taken one or more of the island hopping tours, but are seeking a nearby beach accessible by land. You can rent a motorbike or van for the 30 minute trip to Nacpan beach. It's ideal as a day trip from El Nido town but if you wish to stay overnight there are also options such as Angkla resort, Nacpan Beach Glamping and Mad Monkey Hostel.
Nacpan Beach is renowned for its pristine powdery white sand that feels soft underfoot—perfect for leisurely strolls along the shore. The beach gently slopes into the clear turquoise waters that are typical of the Palawan region. While Nacpan does not have extensive rocky areas or coral reefs directly off its shore, it provides a tranquil setting for relaxation and sunbathing. For rocky areas walk to the far left (southern most part) where the rocky areas are pretty good for snorkeling.
Nacpan Beach suffers from sand fleas which are quite common on the beaches of the main Palawan island. Sand fleas are tiny (almost invisible to the eye), locally they are known as Nik Niks. Do be aware that some people will be more attractive to the sand fleas than others, personally they love me and i could be bitten with in minutes of being on the beach. Sand flea bites can be extremely itchy and swollen, worse than most mosquito bites, if you are bitten take anti-histamine and use a local balm called Katinko to cool the bites and reduce the itchiness.
While Nacpan Beach itself is more secluded with limited accommodations directly on the beachfront, there are some options available for those wishing to stay close to the sea:
For more extensive accommodation options, consider staying in:
Staying in these areas provides both proximity to Nacpan Beach (a short ride away) while still being accessible to other attractions in El Nido.
Nacpan Beach offers essential amenities including:
Please note that due to its preserved natural state, amenities here might be less extensive compared to more developed beach destinations. Visitors are encouraged to bring necessary supplies as well as practice responsible tourism by keeping the beach clean.
